Due to the elevated number of registrations for the International Seminar on Fake News and Elections, to be realized on May 16th and 17th, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) will offer another auditorium for those interested on watching the debates. New registrations received from this Tuesday (30th) will be allocated on the Court’s Auditorium II, where the event will be exhibited by a live broadcast. The register is available online and the spots are limited.
Previously, Auditorium III had already been made available, where the debates will also be transmitted by video. The panels with national and international specialists on the subject will happen at Auditorium I.
The event is supported by the European Union and will be officially inaugurated on Thursday (16th), at 7p.m., by the Court’s President, Justice Rosa Weber. Will also be present at the opening ceremony the Acting Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Brazil, Minister Claudia Gintersdorfer, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Sergio Moro, the Electoral Attorney-General of the Republic, Raquel Dodge, and President of the National Council of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Felipe Santa Cruz.
On Friday (17th), starting 9a.m., will take place the panels about the following themes: “Electoral Law and the Limits of Advertising”, “Elections and Fake News Around the World”, “Freedom of Speech X Defamation”, “Tools for Tackling Fake News” and “Social Media in the Electoral Outlook”. Each speaker will have 15 minutes for exposing their ideas and sharing information, experiences, and knowledge.
