The Voter Information, Communication & Education Network – VoICE.NET, an organization created by the Electoral Commission of India, which brings together electoral bodies of 27 countries, including the Superior Electoral Court of Brazil (TSE) – published last month the first issue of its journal, VoICE International.
The publication, which will be issued on a quarterly basis, aims at promoting education, information and communication among voters worldwide. The first issue is entitled “Empowering Young Future Voters” and features articles by the representatives of Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Fiji, Georgia, Iraq, Maldives, Myanmar and Nepal before VoICE.NET, as well as contributions of organizations such as the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The TSE representative at VoICE.NET is the director of the Electoral Judicial School, Professor Fábio Quintas. In October of last year he represented the Brazilian Electoral Court at the International Conference on Voter Education for Inclusive, Informed and Ethical Participation held in India.
