The general elections of the Kyrgyzstan, a Republic located in Central Asia, were held this Sunday (4). Carlos von Adamek, secretary-general of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), and Márcio Boscaro, assistant judge at the President´s Office, arrived at Bishkek, the Kirghiz capital, to monitor the vote. TSE representative members were accompanied by approximately 40 election experts from international organizations, and were granted the opportunity to supervise elections and vote count.
The mission, which started on October 1, is expected to come to an end on Wednesday (7). It integrates the election visiting program organized by the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB), which is implementing an election management and capacity building project in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in cooperation with the Central Election Commission of that Asian country.
A-WEB is the world´s largest organization of election management bodies, gathering members from over 90 countries located in all continents.
